One of my favorite watercolor painting on paper. It’s like a burst of colorful fireworks exploding on the page! The watercolor is done in Japanese sumi-e style. The art depicts Irises composition that just jumps out at you with its vibrant colors and energetic brushstrokes.
Looking closely, you can see how blended and layered the watercolor is, it creates a sense of depth and movement in the painting. The colors are so bright and vivid, you can almost sense strong perfume emanating from the painting! The deep blues and mellow greens contrast beautifully with the warm yellows, creating a visual relaxation for the eyes.
The brushstrokes themselves are a work of art, each one is unique, fast, skillful and full of personality. Some are thin and wispy, while others are bold and chunky.
The overall effect of the painting is just so much fun! It’s like a celebration in visual form, bursting with life and energy. I can imagine this painting brightening up any space, from a funky artist’s studio to a playful child’s bedroom.
